DC based rapper and creative artist, “Keen,” brings a fresh take on hip-hop. A North Carolina native, Keen grew up under the influence of his parent’s favorite music artists, Sade and Parliament Funkadelic. 

His love of music led him to drop his debut mixtape, “7 pounds,” in 2010. 

Following a 12 year hiatus, Keen’s passion for rap was reignited in 2022. He dropped a series of singles throughout 2023 leading up to the release of his EP, “Feel Good. Do Better.” in the spring of 2024. 

Driven by an intention to inspire, Keen's music reflects his perspectives on life. His unique sound and melodic flow is equal parts smooth, thought-provoking and new age. You'll often hear him rapping over upbeat boom bap and chill lo-fi beats, creating a perfect backdrop for his introspective lyrics and clever wordplay.
